Privacy policy

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Techno Angels d.o.o., Zavrtnica 21, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, VAT ID 29573601872. For any privacy questions or to exercise your rights, write to us at info@technoangels.hr.

2. The “Book a call” form

When you submit the form, we collect the details you enter: full name, company name, phone, email, preferred call time, the areas you are interested in and your message. We use them solely to contact you and arrange a call about your request.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. We keep requests for 730 days from receipt, after which they are deleted automatically, unless the request leads to a collaboration.

3. The AI assistant on the website

On this website you can chat with an AI assistant (the boxes next to the examples and the chat in the bottom right corner). In doing so we process:

• the content of the messages you send and the assistant’s replies,
• the place on the page where you are chatting and the time of the messages,
• a pseudonymised record of your IP address (a one-way hash — the IP address itself is not stored) and browser information.

The purpose is to answer your questions, understand what visitors are interested in so we can improve the service, and prevent abuse (e.g. mass messaging). The legal basis is our legitimate interest. We keep logged conversations for 365 days, after which they are deleted automatically.

Replies are generated by an artificial intelligence language model. They are for information only, may contain errors and do not constitute an offer or an obligation. Please do not enter sensitive personal data in the chat (e.g. health or financial information).

If you leave your email address in the chat so that we can get back to you, it is stored as a contact request and the same rules apply as for the “Book a call” form.

4. Voice input (dictation)

The microphone is only switched on when you click the dictation button and allow access in your browser. The recording is sent to our server, where longer silences are cut out, and is then converted into text. The recording is deleted immediately after conversion (unfinished recordings after one hour at the latest). The recognised text first appears in the input box — it goes nowhere until you send it yourself.

5. Recipients of data and transfers outside the EU

To run the AI assistant and voice input we use external service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Anthropic PBC (USA) — the Claude language model that generates the assistant’s replies; receives the content of the conversation,
• Groq, Inc. (USA) — speech-to-text; receives the dictation recording after silence has been removed,
• the website hosting provider — on whose servers the data is stored,
• Google (Google Fonts) — loading the website fonts, which reveals your IP address to Google.

Transfers of data to the USA are carried out with appropriate safeguards under the General Data Protection Regulation (e.g. standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Abuse prevention and cookies

To keep the assistant available to everyone, we count messages and dictations per pseudonymised IP address record (the same applies to protecting the form from spam). These counters are kept for 90 days. The website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or visitor analytics.

7. Your rights

At any time you can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send your request to info@technoangels.hr; we will reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe that the processing of your data is unlawful, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP, azop.hr) or the supervisory authority in your country.

We do not carry out automated decision-making that would have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, e.g. when we add a new feature to the website. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
